Ukraine in Focus of EU Support, Open Lecture for Oles Honchar Dnipro National University (02.05.2024, Dnipro)
On May 2, 2024, the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine conducted a seminar for representatives of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University(DNU).
Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, delivered an information session to faculty and researchers of DNU and invited partners from the relocated Institute of Foreign Languages of Donbas State Pedagogical University. She presented the unprecedented grant opportunities that the European Commission offers to Ukrainian universities.
The speaker elaborated on the tools for university internationalisation supported by the EU Erasmus+ Programme. These include opportunities for staff development, academic mobility, the launch of new or joint educational programmes, conducting collaborative research, publishing research results in international journals, and developing infrastructure for implementing innovative educational practices, among others.
The staff of DNU with prior experience in project implementation or ongoing project preparations actively participated in the session.
Four main criteria for evaluating project proposals were also discussed:
- Relevance of the project;
- Quality of project design and implementation;
- Quality of the project team, expected impact, dissemination, and sustainability of results;
- Logical framework matrix (objectives, tasks, innovation, activities, expected outcomes, and impact).
Special emphasis was placed on the proactive stance of researchers planning to establish partnerships with international universities, research institutes, and businesses to initiate joint activities.
During the event, Svitlana SHYTIKOVA also addressed questions from colleagues on report preparation, budget planning, project promotion, and dissemination of results, among other topics.
“A university as a centre of excellence and community development” is the goal that all participants of this valuable seminar strive to achieve.
